About This Spot

Stepping into Lindenhof in Peoria is like slipping quietly into a cherished neighborhood gathering where time slows just enough to savor good company and hearty meals. The warm glow of traditional décor hints at stories shared over many evenings, inviting both newcomers and regulars into its fold. Here, the hum of live accordion melodies mixes comfortably with the casual chatter, creating a backdrop that feels both alive and familiar without ever rushing the rhythm of the night.

This is a place where the joy of food is woven seamlessly with tradition and local flavor. The inviting aromas from the kitchen offer a taste of authentic German home cooking—dishes that arrive as more than just sustenance, but as an invitation to linger. From plates that balance crisp, comforting textures with vibrant sides to generous pints of wheat beer shared among friends, each element contributes to an experience that is as much about connection as it is about flavor.

The atmosphere at Lindenhof reflects a genuine sense of community. Tables are arranged in a way that encourages conversation not just within your own circle but often between strangers looking to share a moment over a shared appreciation for the food and music. On Fridays, the rhythm shifts slightly with buffets that feel like a warm nod to tradition—simple, satisfying selections that fill plates and spirits alike without fuss.

More than a meal, a visit here unfolds as a quiet celebration of culture and companionship, marked by attentive, welcoming hosts who make sure every guest feels at home. Whether you're easing in after a long day or carving out time for a weekend gathering, Lindenhof offers a grounded, heartfelt escape tucked into Peoria’s north side, where every sip and bite feels thoughtfully lived-in.

First time there, the food was great, the people are amazing and very inviting, the atmosphere of the place is beautiful, lots of nice decor and history. The live band playing was spot on. Great experience with great people and great food.

This is a wonderful Friday night buffet spot! Every Friday they have a small buffet featuring a menu of salad, bread and butter, a couple potatoes dishes, a vegetable, red cabbage, and either a German main course, like Schnitzel or ribs and chicken and stroganoff. We love it! It only cost $15. Did I mention they have giant beers $6 and teas $2? They also have a bake sale with pies. There is usually an accordian player offering up some great traditional songs too! This is a very busy place and you seat yourself. Tables are long hall style seating. Remember to bring cash or check. Credit/debit not accepted, but they do have an ATM if you forget.

A gem of Peoria. The food is so delicious and clean. They serve amazing German beer and play live music with accordions and whatnot. I can't say enough - dinner at the 'Hof is so much more than a meal. It is a wonderful experience and celebration every week.

Interesting place! If you like German food this is the place to go if your in Peoria! Great selection of German Beers on tap. Kind of a family atmosphere with the way tables are set up which is inviting if your wanting to sit with other people and chat. Live according player started at 6 and was pretty good! Got In right after 5 so wasn’t a big crowd but slowly started filling up. Had a buffet with Beef Stew, Red Cabbage, Fried Chicken, Pork Lion, mashed potatoes and gravy and scalloped potatoes. Had salad and pies as well!

First time visit to this wonderful little place. The food was incredible. The staff was very welcoming. And the beer was perfect. Compliments to Chef Bob and his staff. I'm sure I will be paying them a visit again in the near future.

I grew up here and have continued to go throughout my life with my family. I’ve become a member and attended various events with my dad and family. The food is amazing. The vibe is family friendly and fun. The live music during dinner is always such a treat. Couldn’t recommend the Lindenhof more! Prost!
